Why This Blog?

I am not sure why I decided to start this blog.  Perhaps like so many bloggers I think that my life might just be of interest to others.  I have read many blogs and find them wonderful windows into the lives of people that somehow have become so familiar to me over the past several years.  I don't know them personally, yet in so many ways, I feel like I do.  Each blog opens a window into that person.  Who they are, what they like, how they think, what they love.  So I find it a great deal of fun to "listen in" on others lives.

So perhaps this is why I have decided to blog.  Maybe I'll have something important to say, I'm not sure, but surely my life is at least as interesting as some that I have read.  So Let me introduce myself.  My name is Patricia Lutz.  I live in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, am married to my childhood sweetheart, we have been married for 47 years, and we have two beautiful children, and two grandchildren.  I am the pastor of a small rural church where I have served for 23 years.  I am blessed to have a wonderful congregation that works very hard to keep our little corner of the world going.  We have 52, soon to be 53 members.  We feel that even though we are small, we are also mighty.

I have many interests.  I love to do needle work of all kinds, but my favorite is cross stitch.  I cannot call myself an expert.  Being the pastor of a church allows little time to become an expert at any hobby, but I do very much enjoy making ornaments, and samplers.  I knit, crochet, quilt, and sew.  Love to decorate my home as well.

Some of my favorite places to vacation are Washington, D.C., Williamsburg Virginia, and Hilton Head, South Carolina.  But for lack of funds my husband and I would love to move south as well.  Maybe someday???

For my first blog, I thought I would introduce myself to you.  In as much as I have no idea how this works yet, I would ask you to bare with me until I learn all the ins and outs of blogging.....hopefully I'll be a quick study!  I'll write again soon.
